I’m a Certified CatholicPsych Mentor and Partner, trained in Integrated Daily Dialogic Mentorship through the CPMAP program, which brings together psychology, Catholic anthropology, and the spiritual life. I’ve also spent approximately three years discerning the permanent diaconate. I’ve been trained to listen closely, to name what’s beneath the surface, and to walk with you day to day.
Before mentorship, I spent years in the corporate world, leading teams and creative work, where being capable and prepared was the name of the game. I know how to look competent while underneath wounds go unattended. I’m a husband and a father whose wife’s conversion ultimately led me back to my own faith. What drew me to this work was the recognition of the fragmented lives I see in so many others—particularly for men and professionals—and that I know firsthand because I’ve lived it.
I’ve spent several years writing about faith, suffering, and the interior life on my own personal blogs, Swimming Upstream and Depth Perception and I’ve walked through serious illness, depression, and the work of loving a child with special needs. Those seasons have taught me to trust grace rather than my own strength. What I bring into this work is the recognition that change comes slowly through honesty, patience and by being known my another human person.
Mentorship (technically called Integrated Daily Dialogic Mentorship, or IDDM) is neither traditional counseling nor spiritual direction, but occupies a unique space in between those two fields. Mentorship is daily accompaniment, looking at you and your story as an integrated whole, examined at your pace, with the goal of finding happiness and holiness in your life.
