Julie Woodley is a Mental Health counselor practicing in Illinois, Connecticut, and serving the greater New York Metropolitan area and many others through online and phone therapy. She is also mother of 4 children and a grandmother of 5 grandchildren.

Julie has produced In the Wildflowers (for the healing of the trauma of childhood sexual abuse). The DVD series with its curriculum is being used all over the U.S. and in other countries. She has also produced Into My Arms (for those who want to heal from the pain of an abortion). She is in the beginning stages of producing a visual curriculum for those who have suffered from sexual exploitation, Shattered & Restored.

Degree

Julie received her M.A. in counseling and a certificate in Theological Studies from Bethel Seminary. Julie is a certified trauma counselor and is on Illinois’ Mayor Rauner’s Taskforce Team to eliminate Sexual Exploitation.

Experience

For over 20 years Julie has worked as a trauma counselor after bank robberies, suicides, and various other traumas. She also served for 4 years as the Division Chair of the American Association of Christian Counseling’s Abortion, Sexual Trauma and Mental Health.

 

Julie’s passion is to help people that have been placed in traumatic situations. As a survivor of numerous traumatic circumstances, Julie’s story has been featured on various radio programs including: 700 Club, Focus on the Family with Dr. James Dobson, Unshackled by Pacific Garden Missions, many other radio broadcasts including Moody Radio, as well as Life Today. Julie is an author and co-author of more than 6 books as well as several articles on post-abortion trauma and childhood sexual abuse for various publications.
