The CatholicPsych Institute is Hosting its First Ever Live Event!

You know the Catholic faith must have more to offer the suffering world.

We're going to show you exactly what that is.

Look around - secular psychology is not working. How much more obvious does it need to get? We’ve actually gotten to a point of absurdity.

The more emphasis our society places on “mental health,” the worse the problems seem to get. No, we don’t just need another program or more government funding.

So where does that leave you? Where do you turn when you want help, encouragement, or direction for your spiritual and emotional life you can trust?

What we need is a Catholic model for what it means to be human. Providing this model is the mission of CatholicPsych. And now we are going to host a live event to talk about it.

Announcing: The Summit of Integration!

Why Integration? What is Integration? Simply put, our psychology cannot be properly understood without connecting it to a philosophy of the human person and the spiritual life that Christ revealed and opened up to us.

To be healthy means to be holy, and to be holy means to be healthy.

This is our nature and identity. This is what we’re made for, it’s why we are wounded, and it’s how we can be healed.

This is our nature and identity. This is what we’re made for, it’s why we are wounded, and it’s how we can be healed.

Many people know the following to be true, but do you really know WHY...

  • Divorce causes so much pain

  • Sex, Marriage, and Babies are supposed to be connected with each other

  • Transgenderism will never lead someone to happiness

  • Overspiritualization will also never lead someone to happiness

  • You can’t just pray away all your suffering

  • You also can’t medicate away all your suffering

  • Literally any other question about the path of humans to “become who we are” can be better answered with a Catholic standard.

And before you know it, more benefits

Hi! I’m Dr. Greg Bottaro

Dr. Greg Bottaro

Over the last 10 years, my team and I have invested our time and resources into developing a model of integration that answers the deepest desires of our hearts for connection, peace, and freedom. Through integration, you can unlock all the potential inside to become who God created you to be.

The “disease of disintegration” plagues our society and Church through various manifestations, such as gender ideology, atheism, intellectualization, political ideology, and over spiritualizing. Integration is the antidote, and will empower you to change the tide in your life, family and community.

You’re invited to CatholicPsych’s first-ever live event to celebrate the beauty and power of integration!

about the speakers

Mother Natalia

entered the monastery in 2015 and made her life profession on September 26, 2021.

As a military kid, Mother Natalia grew up in a variety of places from Cuba to Denver.  She earned her B.S. in Engineering Physics from Colorado School of Mines.  Her route to monasticism passed through urban missions both with A Simple House of Sts. Francis and Alphonsus and teaching high school math.  Though her role in the monastery is wide, she spends much of her time coordinating all the guest logistics involving the poustinia retreat houses, ensuring visitors are received with hospitality.  Mother Natalia and Father Michael O’Loughlin co-host the podcast “What God is Not” that focuses on Byzantine Catholicism and Mystery.

Dr. Paul Vitz

is a trailblazer for the whole field of integrated Catholic Psychology.

He recently retired from his teaching position and continues to research focused on the integration of Christian theology, especially Catholic anthropology, with psychology. This requires breaking from the modern secularism and post-modern relativism prevalent today. He is presently also addressing the following special topics: the psychology of hatred and forgiveness, the psychological importance of fathers and the relevance of psychology for understanding atheism and the psychology of the virtues.

He is an editor, with two colleagues, of the just published, A Catholic Christian Meta-Model of the Person: Integration of Psychology and Mental Health Practice. This book has been given an Expanded Reason Award, from the Benedict xvi Foundation, Rome and from the University Francisco de Vitoria, Madrid, Spain.

He is also editor of a very recent book, 2021, CUA Press titled
Complementarity in Women and Men: Philosophy, Theology, Art and Psychology.

Dr. Gerry Crete

is an accomplished therapist, supervisor, author, father and husband.

Dr. Gerry Crete has worked as an educator and mental health professional for over 30 years. He is the author of Litanies of the Heart: Relieving Post-traumatic Stress and Calming Anxiety Through Healing Our Parts. He has long been passionate about integrating principles of the Christian faith with effective mental health treatment and general wellness.

Dr. Crete founded Transfiguration Counseling and Coaching (www.transfigurationcounseling.com), and his clinical specialties include the treatment of trauma, addictions, and anxiety disorders. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and an EMDRIA approved EMDR Consultant. He has received training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Ego State Therapy, and Clinical Hypnosis.

Dr. Crete is President Emeritus of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association, is a co-founder of an online mental health resource called Souls and Hearts (www.soulsandhearts.com), and hosted his own podcast, Be with the Word, and has been a recurring guest on Matt Fradd’s podcast Pints with Aquinas. He has facilitated numerous retreats and workshops for various Catholic dioceses, and he has provided consultation for the Jesuit Conference of Canada and United States, and the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance (Trappists). He is a regular writer for Exodus 90, and has provided mental health meditations for the Hallow app.

Last but not least, Dr. Crete has been married over 30 years and has three adult children. He was born in Ottawa, Canada and currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
